Announcing Valkyrie

Today, I’m officially launching Valkyrie Ventures, a $45 million early stage fund backing the relentless few - the founders who bend the curve of what’s possible.

Valkyrie exists to back founders building foundational software companies in artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and critical industries, partnering for when it matters most.

After nearly a decade at SV Angel, I’m grateful for the partnership and the founders I had the chance to support. Valkyrie builds on that foundation - the same spirit of speed, trust, and conviction - positioned for what comes next.

We’re entering a phase of technology that isn’t cyclical or generational - it’s a step-change in what humanity can do. Artificial intelligence is not another wave of innovation; it’s a fundamental expansion of capability. For the first time, we’re building systems that can observe, reason, and create at scale, turning intelligence into a compounding resource. What energy was to the 20th century, intelligence will be to the 21st and beyond - and the timeline of development is accelerating. This shift will redefine how problems are solved, how industries operate, and how breakthroughs are produced across every major field.

I started Valkyrie because there’s something unmistakable in the air - the same current that runs through every major technological shift, and it feels even stronger. From breakthroughs in code and compute to progress in cancer cures and deep-space exploration the companies being created today are re-coding how the world works.

Valkyrie supports the founders building the systems that power human progress. The arenas where technology meets reality, and where breakthroughs reshape how we live, work, and sustain life itself.

I’ve met thousands of founders over the years, and the ones who go on to build the most meaningful companies share something rare, yet similar - a kind of gravity. They move with urgency and clarity, as if the future is already pulling them forward. They don’t wonder if the world will change, only how fast. Valkyrie exists to back them.

Company building is deeply personal to me. I come from a family of builders. My dad worked on oil rigs growing up, and later founded an energy exploration company when I was 8. My mom is an artist and musician, and started her own business. My brother was a serial entrepreneur from a young age, founding companies like Flatiron Health, after our cousin was diagnosed with leukemia. My husband is starting his next company now. They each had a ‘why’ when they started and that same 'why' drives me now. My ‘why’ is to back and support the founders whose work will define the future and to show up for them when it matters most.

I believe the founders starting today will re-engineer industries, cure diseases, and redefine what humanity can achieve. My role - and Valkyrie’s mission - is to back them early, stand beside them relentlessly, and help them build useful and enduring companies that make the future brighter.

To those founders: Valkyrie was built for you. To partner with you. To build what matters. To turn conviction into reality.

The energy in this moment feels different - an unlock across disciplines, a surge of ambition that echoes every era that once felt impossible until it wasn’t.

This is our new frontier. Let’s build it.
